Mike McCarthy is the founder of Chaos Removal. Starting the company was the result of two important decisions in life:

• Making the voluntary choice to downsize from a 5-bedroom house to a 2-bedroom apartment and sort through 30 years worth of “stuff.” This process wasn’t easy, but it was so freeing! Now we aren’t encumbered by “things” and have the freedom to go and do more of what we enjoy.

• Wanting to be part of a solution to help make people’s lives simpler and easier. Most of us are too busy and too rushed, with a seemingly endless “to do” list and a schedule jam-packed with commitments.

Mike has lived in the Libertyville area for most of his life. He and his wife, Angie, have three daughters who went to Libertyville High School and graduated from Oklahoma State, Ole Miss and Clemson.

He has spent his entire career working closely with people where trust, integrity and discretion are critical. He’s worked with individuals in planning their finances, at a nonprofit where families were facing difficult times and in professional sports for 12 years, where privacy and confidentiality are a daily part of the job.

Mike is a Professional Member of the National Association of Productivity & Organizing Professionals (NAPO).
